Here is a wonderful example of framing a Mixed-Media artwork by our design consultant Jade Chang of our Big Island location. The artwork consists of a painted beach landscape ringed in flowers and fabric. Jade floats the custom cut mat* and glass above the mounted art and frames it with a classic bamboo style frame.

* Note: The custom cutouts at the corners of the mat shown can be done exclusively at our Kona, The Big Island and Pearl Highland’s, Oahu retail locations. Each of those locations has a specialized mat cutting machine located in-store.

Here’s how you can score the absolute best deal in custom framing with the Fanatic Card‘s loyalty points:

Get 10% back on Custom Framing.  Let’s say you spend $300 on a custom frame.  You get a $30 credit that you can use towards any merchandise.

Get 2% back on everything else.  Now, let’s say you need a sleek, new set of Koa furniture, ready-made frames and some Koa accessories to make it all “come together” (yes, we have all that stuff too) and it all comes out to $1,600.  You get a $32 credit that you can use towards any merchandise.

Every Holiday Season we help our customers frame great mementos and create unique and memorable Christmas gifts. Here is a countdown of five of our favorites from the 2011 Holiday Season.

5. Love Bugs Bite. This is a cool little piece of art framed by Jade at our Kona store. The bold red mat really makes it pop. There’s a “spacer” under the artwork that makes it look like it’s floating above the mat.

Pictures Plus has years of experience framing sports memorabilia such as jerseys, flags, signed documents all either singly or such as shown in this example from Devin S. at our Kahala Mall store.  Devin worked with his client to create this professional composition worthy of museum display.

Using a deep liner and moulding combination, the custom mounted and matted images and garments are set in a chic shadow box framing style.  The depth of the arrangement provides a professional yet stylish presentation that is pleasing to the eye.

Maybe you have an old jersey sitting in the closet or signed photos of your favorite sports hero filed away.  Allow us to create a memorable gift for someone or something just for yourself.  See Devin at our Kahala store or any one of our knowledgeable staff to make your idea some to life.

Marlene of our Kauai location added this incredible mask to her portfolio recently.  The simple presentation takes nothing away from the beauty of the mask yet gives it stature that it wouldn’t have if it were hung as a mask only.
